NC Donut Star: Discover the Best Filled and Glazed Donuts in Mooresville

The best donuts in the area for sure. So airy and baked to perfection. The pinecone was a good place to start. Plain glazed pull apart donut but was so good. Tried the strawberry jelly and a frosted chocolate as well and both were fantastic. Can’t go wrong with any choice here.

Omg these donuts are super pillowy soft and delicious! They are also served slightly warm which is interesting! I don’t know if I came right when they were made or their bakery case has a warmer but these are really good homemade and fresh donuts!

Went out of my way close to 1 pm on a Saturday in search of a donut since we dont have a KK locally. I ordered a glazed, chocolate covered, and something with cinnamon that looked like a pull-a-part. The chocolate wasnt setting like a KK, so Inwas hesitant but its what I wanted. The two traditional donuts were amazingly fresh, soft and fluffy. They reminded me of a pillowy bread on the inside but had the squared pattern on the bottom that crunches just a tenny bit. The donut itself, not sweet which is nice for me. The glaze was a little sweeter than I anticipated based on the previous reviews. The chocolate actually hit the spot despite my mental block. Would definitely get those two again. The cinnamon pull-a-part (my words), mildly cinnamon (great), lots of nooks for the crunchy goodness that donuts can get from the fryer. The texture was somewhere between their traditional donuts and an apple fritter. While I wouldn't say no to it in the future, its probably not something Ill get each visit. I found these a lot better than a grocery store and better than DD as well. They had various toppings on a good bit of inventory, (ie cookies, m&ms, cereal, maple bacon, fruity stuff), I just went in for the classics. They did offer the "Long Johns", my guess is you fill those to order but I dont know. Several tables to sit inside, lots of parking bc its in a strip center, and great hours for those that dont want breakfast donuts.

We were traveling from Florida back home to Ohio. We stopped for some coffee and doughnuts. Doughnut were very fresh, moist and very tasty. I had a apple fritter, it was probably one best doughnuts I had in along time. Also had glazed croissant. They had very good selection of doughnuts.

Best donuts I had in a long time. They have regular donuts, big donuts, and the fancy donuts with all the toppings. Definitely my go-to donut place in Morrisville

There was a literal line out the door and for good reason! This place was DELICIOUS. The staff was super friendly and the establishment looked spotless. Not one sprinkle was out of place! The donuts were fresh and fluffy, the icing and toppings were smooth and still fresh (not hard). They had multiple cooler drink options and the prices were great considering size and quality! Can’t wait to go back for an Apple fritter, they were sold out by the time I reached the front.

My husband had stopped in a few times and was bringing donuts home. The family was in love! So much so that for my daughter's 14th birthday recently she didn't want a cake she wanted donuts. Thanks to NC Donut Star, we gave her both. They offer a huge donut cake at a great price. Staff was super friendly when ordering and picking up. Their maple bacon donut is my favorite. Thank you guys for offering such a delicious treat! We'll be returning very soon!

The best donuts Ive ever had. I came across their fb post & decide to stop by the next time I was in the area. The donuts are light & fluffy. The toppings are just as fresh. The combination creates big flavor to rival the size of the donuts itself. And its more budget friendly compared to what you pay for cookies & cupcakes these days. The young lady that checked us out was knowledgeable, informative & kind. She made the experience more pleasurable. We'll be back for sure.
